Chiss troops 1
The CEDF contains Troopers and Pilots ready and able to defend the Ascendancy.

The Chiss Ascendancy has changed the way the legal rights and privileges of citizens are recognized. No longer is every Chiss in the galaxy assumed to be a part of the Chiss Ascendancy. Furthermore, opportunities have been opened up for Non-Chiss who desire to serve the Ascendancy.

The rights of all citizens are protected by the Chiss Constitution and cannot be revoked, except by criminal conviction.

Social Designations
Chiss Citizens
Chiss who join the Chiss Ascendancy and have no other citizenship are given this designation.

Non-Chiss Citizens
Non-Chiss who have joined the Chiss Ascendancy and do not have any other citizenship are given this designation.

Dual Citizens
Chiss and Non-Chiss who have other citizenships are known as dual citizens. Dual Citizens are permitted as loing as the other citizenship is to an organisation that is not hostile to the Chiss Ascendancy.

As in the Ancient Chiss Ascendancy, Exiles are Chiss who have broken Chiss Law. They are considered outlaws and thus do not receive the rights and privileges guaranteed by the Chiss Constitution.

This new designation was created to acknowledge that some chiss might choose to not affiliate with the Chiss Ascendancy. A Chiss who does this, but has not broken Chiss Law is considered an Expatriate.
